Planning & Curriculum Sequencing in Primary Foreign Languages
with guest speaker Bianka Zemke
(Ofsted National Lead for Languages)
Planning & Curriculum Sequencing in Primary Foreign Languages
In this free 1-hour online seminar we are delighted to announce that we will be joined by Bianka Zemke - His Majesty’s Inspector, Schools National Lead – Languages, Curriculum Unit, Ofsted.

Having Bianka join us is an amazing opportunity to hear her views on planning and sequencing in primary foreign languages and also get the chance to ask her questions about this vitally important component part necessary to achieve outstanding foreign language outcomes for your school.

It’s an opportunity not to be missed!

Bianka will be focusing on planning and sequencing of learning in primary foreign languages based on Ofsted requirements and their published language research review. At the end of her 20 -25 mins presentation, Bianka will have a few minutes to answer your questions.

Following Bianka’s presentation we will continue the online seminar focusing on the planning and curriculum sequencing that should be in place in your school to ensure:

  • All pupils receive the most appropriate and beneficial level of challenge.
  • PoS attainment targets are met and pupils achieve excellent outcomes.
  • All teachers and staff are fully supported.
  • Your school delivers a fully sequenced and progressive primary foreign languages curriculum in line with requirements.

We will discuss and demonstrate short, medium and long-term planning, showing how it can and should all fit together to ensure your curriculum planning and sequencing is appropriate, challenging but, most importantly, achievable.

We will also look at planning and sequencing for some of the different delivery models we see with our users (including planning and sequencing for mixed age classes).

This webinar is ideal for all primary school foreign language teachers and leaders who want to increase their confidence and understanding of this often tricky but vitally important component part necessary to achieve outstanding foreign language outcomes for your school.

We'll be using our Language Angels units and resources to demonstrate our approach but the knowledge and information we will share will be transferable to your own scheme of work if you're not a Language Angels user.

All primary foreign language leaders and teachers are welcome.

We hope you can join us.
